Jhum cultivation includes dibbling seeds of crops such as rice, maize, banana, cotton, cucumber, papaya, chillies, ginger, turmeric, ladies finger, brinjal etc altogether. This cropping system is exercised at hills in rainy season. Farmers burn the forest, clean and dibble all types of seeds admixtured using varying proportions. The sown crops mature at different times and farmers harvest them individually by hands. In general, no extra care is taken and so yield is very low.
